Wrap Up campaign launches across the U. The campaign aims to collect over 21, coats, which will go directly to community organisations supporting the homeless, the elderly suffering from fuel poverty, refugees, and women and children fleeing domestic violence. When Wrap Up Manchester was launched, the aim was to collect coats for vulnerable people over the winter period but instead an incredible 1, items were received. The Wrap Up campaign will operate across six London tube stations courtesy of Transport for London and Manchester Piccadilly station supported by Network Rail for coat donations from 13 th th November. Coats can also be donated to selected SafeStore self-storage centres across London, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham from 13 th — 24 th November. Last year, over people collected almost 23, warm coats. Without our volunteers, none of this would happen. This year again, tens of thousands of people will be a little warmer, not just physically, but also knowing someone cares. We, in Human Appeal, want to not only offer a hand to those in desperate need of humanitarian aid, but to wrap an arm around those in desperate need of warmth.

The sixth annual Wrap Up London takes place this week, asking Londoners to donate their unwanted coats to help people in need. Coats can be donated at 15 locations across the capital including London Underground stations and Safestores. CollectPlus is also involved in the Wrap Up London campaign for a second year, and, working with wnDirect, is offering over 5, drop off locations enabling people to donate coats from across the UK. Last year, more than 10, were collected at London Underground stations, with Victoria station collecting the most, followed by Canary Wharf.
